Six Prisoners at Marble Valley Quarantined After Positive COVID Tests

Six inmates who returned to Vermont from a Mississippi prison this week tested positive for COVID-19.

All six were placed in quarantine and tested when they arrived at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility in Rutland. There are more than 200 Vermont inmates still in Mississippi prisons with no planned returns.

Vermont corrections officials said on Friday the six that came back this week were planned returns based on release dates and not COVID-related.
